The Adams Family – Wales, UK

Keven, Stacey, Adrian, Addison, Avery, and Ashlee

Kevin:

I had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home with godly parents who showed me how to Love and serve the Lord. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior when I was 6 years old and followed in Believers Baptism shortly after.

For the last 20 years I have been involved in a successful Real Estate business in Springfield, MO. Throughout my career, I have volunteered and served the Lord in many different ministries at Cherry St. Baptist Church. Over the last few years I have been the coordinator/leader of the Missions Trips for Cherry St. and have led several trips. It was through this ministry that God began to work in my heart for the Gospel to be shared around the world. Understanding that God can use normal people that are willing to be used by him.

In 2019, I was able to lead a Missions trip to Wales, UK and here my heart was broken for the people that have never heard the gospel, and they needed someone to tell them about what Jesus had done for them.

Throughout my internship at Cherry St. I have remained focused on leading people to Christ here, and discipling them to grow in their relationship with Jesus. During our first term we will be serving alongside and learning from Richie and Missy Orrick in Buckley, Wales. During this time we will be exploring where we will plant a church. We are so excited to do what God has called us to do.

Stacey:

I am so thankful to have been raised in a God loving and God serving Christian home. Because of the faithfulness and example set by my parents I accepted Jesus Christ at the early age of 5 years old and followed in Believers Baptism two years later at South Campbell Ave Baptist Church.

I grew up serving in church from the age of 5 singing with my family. I would also look forward to helping my dad with the bus visits too. When I was old enough I began serving in the nursery. At age 14, I began working in Awana, playing in the orchestra, singing in choir and helping whenever and wherever I could.

I was so excited in 1999 when I got to take my first missions trip over to the United Kingdom. I was able to see two very different ministries, one in London, and one in Bessbrook, Ireland. I did not recognize, at the time, the work God began in my heart for the people of this country.

I was able to go to the UK three other times after that and on the missions trip with Cherry St. Baptist Church, to Wales in 2019 my eyes were open and my heart was burdened for the people of Wales, and to share the love of Jesus Christ with them. This is a place that was once a leader in revival, that has now become a lost and dark place. We are so excited to help bring the light back to wales.

What a great start to the summer as the month of June was packed with many exciting things! Kevin officiated at his first wedding, and it was great for him to gain skills he will need for our ministry in Wales. Our family was privileged to be present at our sending church, Cherry Street Baptist Church, for their vacation Bible school. It was a fun, busy couple of days that gave us the opportunity to share the gospel and lead several children to Christ during the invitation time. Altogether, 19 children, teen and adults were saved that week. We were so blessed to be a part of this outreach event!!

After vacation Bible school, it was back to presenting and sharing our hears for the country of Wales while visiting churches in Alabama, Kentucky, and Missouri. It is such a blessing to gain more prayer and ministry partners. We are so close to being fully funded. God is truly amazing, and He deserves all the glory!

Please continue to pray with us as we are still waiting to hear about Addison’s Visa approval. We were able to schedule and complete her required biometric photo, fingerprinting, and background check. Now we just need for her application to be processed and accepted. Please pray for our immigration lawyer and his assistant to have wisdom and strength with all the extra work they have been doing to get this process completed. We are truly grateful God has placed them in our path. They have been amazing!

Things continue to move forward. In the middle of June, we packed up our memories and possessions, and they are now on their way to Wales! That brings about our second prayer need. It is not an easy process to find housing in Wales as the options there are very limited. God has provided a friend from the church in Buckley who is helping by checking on potential houses and helping us contact the landowners. Please pray with us that we can secure the right house at the right time! House set-up costs still need to be funded. As you pray for our housing situation, would you consider donating a one-time gift towards this need?

Prayer Needs:

  • Addison’s Visa to be approved quickly
  • Our Family to finish deputation strong and in good health
  • We can find and secure housing
  • Fully funded set up costs
